PR began 2010 dancing

The famous 'The Do Lab' created this year the ambiance for the event.


Which better way to start a new year than dancing? Puerto Rico knows it, for that reason one of the most important beer trade and the agency Armada Productions brings to the Island once again the international well known Sound Fields Festival, probably the most recognized event of electronic music in US and the Caribbean, and which better date than the first days of 2010. A multisensory experience

SAN JUAN - On January 2nd Puerto Rico vibrated with the third consecutive edition of the most important electronic music festival in US and Latin America: The SoundFields, described as a unique experience, the event combines better than any other concerts some of the best lights shows and theatrical performances, with the best music of the electronic and techno-dance gender.

El Parque del Tercer Milenio (The Third Millenium Park) in San Juan municipality was the perfect scenario to celebrate this new edition of the expected festival, which works for the Island of Enchantment as a ideal 2010 events season inauguration.

The place was set up with two huge ambiances decorated with fantastic modern and minimal European elements using recycled materials, created by the international sensation The Do Lab, an iconic community of creative people from LA, in charge to create since 2006 some of the most epic and memorable places to celebrate events and unforgettable parties including a combination of creative explosions, amazing musicians and mind blowing performances.

Soundfields ::

From 5:00 PM people enjoyed the best music of local exponents such as: Alkalina with their minimal tech-house and deep tech sound, the nouveau techno of Da Dweck, the drum-bass music by Custom Soldierz, the electrifying sound of Cut Radio and the pioneer dance DJ Iván Robles.

International figures participated at the SoundFields 2010 including the trance-dance sound of the Dutch Ferry Corsten considered as one of the top five DJ's of the world. From United Kingdom the band Simian Mobile Disco burned up the whole place with their unmistakable electro-house.

The british balearic and techno sound of Desyn Masiello took the stage for almost one hour, followed by Guru Josh Project lead by Darren Bailie with all the classic old school rhythms of the 90's combined with modern sounds and also from UK the maximum exponents of the drum&bass music the Brookes Brothers. Finally arriving from Germany the progressive trance of Cosmic Gate and directly from Miami the techno bass energy of the duet DJ Dynamix II.

In addition people enjoyed a sculpture exhibition with pieces made by local young artists from the Puerto Rico Artists Coalition.
